How to Create a Discount in Shopify

Step 1: Access Discounts

Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
In the left-hand sidebar, click on Discounts.

Step 2: Select Discount Type

Click on the Create discount button.
Choose from the Discount Type options what type of discount you want this to be (free shipping, amount off products, fixed amount, % off order, etc).

Step 3: Set Up Discount Details

Enter a name for your discount code in the Discount code field.
Enter the value of the discount (e.g., 20% off if type is %).
Set the Applies to section to specify which products or collections the discount applies to.

Step 4: Configure Usage Limits

Set the Minimum requirements if applicable (e.g., minimum purchase amount).
Configure Usage limits to control how many times the discount can be used.

Step 5: Set Active Dates

Choose the Start date and End date for the discount code.
Optionally, set specific times for the discount to be active.

Step 6: Save Discount Code

Review all the details you have entered.
Click Save discount to create the discount code.

Step 7: Share Discount Code

Share the discount code with your customers via email, social media, or your website.
