World Christian Database - How to use it?

The World Christian Database provides comprehensive statistical information on world religions, Christian denominations, and people groups. Extensive data are available on over 9,000 Christian denominations, 13,000 ethnolinguistic peoples, as well as data on 5,000 cities, 3,000 provinces and 234 countries.

If you are in Every Home headquarters and on the staff network, you should not need to login.

If you are out of the office and need to access it, please use the following credentials. Aha - You thought we would just give it to you here and abandon all security protocols ....if you want to know how call our friendly helpdesk or just submit a request and you will have those super secret passwords :)

Below are a few starting points and guidance to help get you started, and our team is available and willing to help if you have questions.

The database has many pre-built tables and allows for custom queries.

Movements: A cover term for groups within Christianity that overlap the major traditions (Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant and Independent) and are therefore counted separately. The largest are (1) Evangelical and (2) Pentecostal/Charismatic.

III. Search for specific countries

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for a country.

Select ‘Record: Click here for all data on <Country name>’

Use the field selectors on the left to display statistics.

IV. Custom tables
